What is a UVC Lighting System?
UVC Lighting System is an electrical device that is placed near the cooling coil or in the return and or supply duct line using Ultra-Violet C-Band light that can produce multiple financial and indoor air quality benefits.
What benefits does UVC offer?
UVC lighting system can bring your HVAC unit back to the original manufactures specified efficiency by keeping your unit free of biofilm and sludge that cause your HVAC system to work harder and run longer to cool your building. When your unit is operating properly and efficiently we have seen a reduction in energy consumption as high as 37%. You will never need to clean your cooling coils once the system is installed. UVC lighting systems eliminate the need for caustic chemicals in the cleaning process of your HVAC Unit. Our UVC lighting system cleans your cooling coils 24 hours a day all year long. How do I know if I can benefit from a UVC lighting system?
HVAC systems will collect airborne particles of organic material commonly called Biofilm. This will become a breeding ground for mold, bacteria, germs, allergens and other microbial growth that can rob your unit’s efficiency and degrade the air quality in your building. How does UVC light kill germs?
UVC light (the frequency used in germicidal UVC lights) kills germs by disrupting their DNA which prevents them from reproducing, effectively killing them. In nature this frequency of light is filtered out by the Earth's atmosphere so microbes have no defense against it.

Where can I purchase a replacement lamp (bulb) for my system?
Because UVC light is dangerous to skin and eyes, lamp replacements are provided by Trinity UVC Lighting service technicians. After installation, you will be notified prior to end of life cycle of your lamps for replacement.
How do I choose the best company for the installation of my UVC lighting system?
Avoid companies that are unwilling to show proof of the effectiveness of their product, or answer your questions about your concerns. Compare the warranty of the power supply and the life of the lamps used.
